Full-Time Position
Qualifications:

  • Must be a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) having a current, valid and unrestricted license in State of Louisiana, and must comply with current, applicable scope of practice and supervisory requirements identified by respective licensing board.
  • Satisfactory completion of criminal background checks.
  • Must not be excluded from participation in the Medicaid or Medicare Program, or have a finding on the Louisiana State Adverse Action List.
  • Yearly certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention.
  • Must maintain current Basic Life Support certification, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
  • Annual Employee Health requirements such as PPD/chest x-ray and Flu vaccine.
  • Completion of annual continuing education to include, but not limited to HEAT and Ethics.
  • Substance use disorder related experience preferred.

  • Required to maintain a current Registered Nurse license in Louisiana.
  • Required to maintain a current certification in BLS and CPI. ACLS preferred but not required. If certification is not current upon hire, employee will attend class within six months of hire date to obtain certification.
  • Required to complete annual restraint education.
  • Required to participate in annual Infection Prevention education.
  • Required to follow Infection Prevention guidelines (i.e., proper use of isolation precautions, proper use of PPE, etc.)
  • Required to follow all Employee Health protocols (i.e., annual TB skin test, annual flu vaccine, and annual employee physical (if maintaining insurance benefits) etc.)
  • Required to complete annual training including HEAT, OmniCell, and Ethics.
  • Required to attend all mandatory inservices including departmental meetings.

  • Specific skills (computer, written, oral, communication, etc.) required or preferred for the job.
  • Knowledge and operation of Ultrasound imaging equipment. Has the ability to select technical factors to produce a quality diagnostic image.
  • Ability to accurately position patients for Ultrasound procedures.
  • Knowledge of body anatomy and habitus.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry/record maintenance and recording of ECHO exams.
  • Ability to recognize life threatening conditions and implement basic life sustaining actions. BLS certification required.
  • Use of PPE and lead aprons if appropriate for procedure. Wears radiation badges at neck line level to document any radiation received on a monthly basis, if necessary.
  • Desire to cross-train in various modalities.
  • Tolerance for high stress environment with complex, competing customer demands. Risk of exposure to infectious organisms and radiation.
